Pigeons as pets?  From flying rat to beloved pet?  Pigeon lover Edie Britt is a natural healer, a psychic medium and a spiritual advisor.  Once a pigeon hater, in 2003 a friend brought over a crippled baby pigeon (squab) and she was transformed.  After having discovered their intelligence and how similar their lifestyles are to humans, she now includes her own "house pigeons" as part of her family.
