BIO:

Tahoma Guiry is an award-winning communications professional. With 20+ years of success leading strategic campaigns, she has profound experience in agency, corporate, broadcast, and nonprofit marketing. Her skills span over many creative miles, including: project management, copywriting, social media, events, media relations, branding, vendor management, and leadership.

Currently, Tahoma utilizes her talent as the CMO of the national nonprofit K9s For Warriors, where she has implemented policies and practices that have generated viral program awareness and resulted in considerable organizational funding. She has a B.A. in Communication from the University of North Florida and resides in sunny Jacksonville, Florida. She is married with three children and has two Labradoodles including one “wash-out” from the K9s For Warriors program.

I came to be involved with K9s For Warriors two-years ago. I had always dreamed of working for a non-profit and using my abilities to help a good cause and I also have a great affinity for the military as my father served in the US Marine Corp and was a Vietnam Veteran who was injured in combat. I had the opportunity to achieve this dream when a Director of Communications position came open in April of 2015.
