Tracie Hotchner

Tracie is the author of the million-copy bestseller Pregnancy & Childbirth, which was nominated for the American Book Award -- for which she appeared on the Today Show, CNN, and Oprah - as well as three other books on pregnancy.

Tracie turned her skills as an investigative reporter to the subject of companion animals and spent years researching dogs and cats. The first book was THE DOG BIBLE: Everything Your Dog Wants You to Know, the encyclopedic book that has captured the hearts and minds of people across America whose dogs are their family members. Everything you need to know about it can be found at TheDogBible.com.  Tracie took the dog world by storm with her companion radio show, DOG TALK®, which she produces and hosts for NPR station WLIU out of Southampton College, New York. Those who cannot listen live can sign up to hear it anywhere in the world at DogTalkTheRadioShow.com

Now Tracie has done it again for the cat-lover with the all-encompassing THE CAT BIBLE: Everything Your Cat Expects You to Know.  The radio show, CAT CHAT™, which Tracie produces and hosts on Martha Stewart Radio, Channel 112 on Sirius Satellite radio, will celebrate its first anniversary on November 28th.   It is a weekly one-hour, phone-in show airing live at 8 PM Eastern time on Wednesdays.

Tracie recently moved to Bennington Vermont where she has 12 and half acres for her two adopted Weimeraners, Scooby Doo and Teddy and her Border Collie mix, Jazzy. Unfortunately, her dogs made life miserable for her last cats, Bert and Ernie, who are both living out long lives of luxury with loving friends who adopted them. However, she savors sweet memories of the parade of cats who have shared her life over the years: Parioli – Florence – Lucca – Rosso, Grigio & Bianca, and Napoli & Aurelia.
