Rita Reimers on Pet Life Radio

Beth and Rita have so much in common; they are both cat enthusiasts, are popular cat behaviorists, and both have successfully run Cats-Only pet sitting companies. With all her experience catering to and understanding thousands of cats, it was only a matter of time before Beth was approached to write her book, Understanding Cat Behavior.

Tune in as Beth, Linda, and Rita discuss her new book, and offer some practical advice about the finicky nature of our feline friends.

BIO:

Greetings! I am Beth Pasek, author of Understanding Cat Behavior and business owner of the multiyear service award winning, Finicky Cat Sitting and Behavior, LLC based in Berea, Ohio

After spending a decade building my first successful pet sitting company it became apparent to this cat lover, that even in the pet care world they were being greatly under-served to the exclusivity of dogs. With that observation in mind, I set out to create a different kind of cat sitting experience. One based on the needs of the cats and cat owners. And in order to do that we needed to learn to speak Meow. While our clients love our service, our service reviews often site our knowledge of all things cat. So when the opportunity presented itself to take all that knowledge and provide it far beyond our cat sitting services I pounced on the opportunity to share it with the world in my first book.

As Ginny Pastor says: "Beth was great with my cat Molly. She used to hide in the rafters when I was gone. But when I started with Beth, she earned Molly's trust and Molly started greeting her at the door!!"

I believe strongly in providing the best experience a pet owner could want for their cat. Essential care, Environment, Enrichment and Love. In order to accomplish this I have been certified as a KPA Cat Trainer, Fear Free Certified Level 3, and of course Cat First Aid Certified. I hold membership in the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants and with the International Animal Association of Animal Hospice Care.

A quirky thing about me:
I don't like to be told ...it won't work. When the pandemic hit, I wrote a book. When I broke my ankle I renewed my Cat First Aid. When travel stopped and hurt my business, I developed passive income paths. Life is always going to throw crazy things at you, it speaks to you, your character, and imagination as to what you do with it.
