As cannabis legislation is sweeping our nation and we learn about the benefits of cannabis for us humans, there has been an increase in curiosity toward the benefits it may also have for our pets. CBD for pets is popping up everywhere... but is it really good for our cats? Is it safe? How do we choose the product that is clean, safe, and helpful for our kitties? After months of searching for an expert on the subject, we who we were looking for in Dr. Tim Shu.
Upon earning his degree in Veterinary Medicine from Texas A & M, Dr. Shu moved to California to work at an animal hospital. He was surprised to find all of the dispensaries and education on cannabis only for people and, like us, wondered how it might also help our pets. He feels a moral and legal obligation to be aware of all routes to helping animals in the best and more natural way possible. After leaving the animal hospital, Dr. Shu became in expert in the area of cannabis for cats and dogs, and founded his own company, Vet CBD.

My passion has always been to improve the lives of animals. It's ultimately what led me to pursue veterinary medicine. As a medical professional, one of my priorities is investigating and developing new therapies that can benefit pets. Humans have used cannabis to improve their lives for thousands of years, and through research and trials, I realized those same benefits can help pets live better lives too.
