Lions & Dogs & Bears Oh My!
Deb Wolfe describes a few recent encounters between dogs and people with bears and lions. Deborah describes the scene and asks you which of the 5 doodle, poodle type dogs do you think stood up to the bear? Deborah gives some basic safety tips for walking in forests and living in bear country explaining from the wildlife perspective. Sometimes a pivotal moment can change a dog’s behavior suddenly and dramatically. A docile dog may become a hunter all of a sudden for example. But also a good experience like a swim during a heat wave can make a non-swimming dog into a water dog. Give it a try with your dog.
