BIO:
Skip Ewing has long been the quintessential troubadour, a thoughtful poet armed with a guitar and an
arsenal of words and emotions he’s channeled into some of country music’s most memorable songs.
Not content to rest on his laurels, Ewing continues to contribute to today’s music landscape with such
acclaimed collections as his 2020 album Wyoming, 2021’s Christmas and his latest creative tour de
force—Road to California.
The album offers an introspective look at Ewing’s creative endeavors and maturity as a songwriter and
artist through singles like “Knots,” “Wreck of My Heart” and “Windmill” alongside lighthearted tunes like
“Road Dog.” No stranger to turning out hits, Ewing has had songs recorded by Keith Urban, Zac Brown
Band, George Strait, Keb Mo, Kenny Rogers, Willie Nelson and numerous others. His No. 1 hits include
Collin Raye’s “Love, Me,” Diamond Rio’s “I Believe,” Kenny Chesney’s “You Had Me from Hello,” Clint
Black’s “Something That We Do” and Bryan White’s “Rebecca Lynn,” “Someone Else’s Star,” and “I’m Not
Supposed to Love You Anymore.”
Most recently, his song “I Would If I Could” (co-written with Dean Dillon) was featured on Apple Music’s
Lost & Found project with reigning CMA and ACM Entertainer of the Year Lainey Wilson recording a
brand new version of the song. In high-demand, the tune was also recorded for ERNEST’s brand new
album this time as a duet between himself and Wilson. The revival of the song has earned high-praise
from Music Row, American Songwriter and Holler to name a few. Most recently, Ewing’s holiday-themed
single, “Whenever A Child Is Born,” made its debut on country radio, alongside ERNEST’s solo rendition
of “Would If I Could,” further cementing Skip’s lasting and multi-faceted impact on the genre.
