Layla Morgan Wilde, a holistic cat expert and celebrity cat/influencer consultant, is an award-winning journalist and photographer with over 20 years experience. The Canadian nonprofit, the Annex Cat Rescue Layla founded in 1997 celebrated their 20th anniversary in 2017. Layla has a soft spot for special needs, senior and black cats.

A tireless advocate for less adoptable cats, Layla launched the non-profit initiative Black Cats Tell All in 2016 to promote black cat adoption as well as Black Cat Awareness Month designated for the month of October.

Layla, an ex-pat Canadian lives in Westchester County, NY with her husband and four special needs cats. Her black cat muse, Clyde is deaf, diabetic with kidney disease and doing great at almost 18. On the rare occasions that she's not focused on cats, Layla enjoys yoga, reading tarot, hugging trees and dreams of being a chef in her next life.
