Griffin Dunne is an American actor, producer, and director born on June 8, 1955. He is best known for starring in An American Werewolf in London and After Hours, directing Practical Magic, and releasing his bestselling memoir, [The Friday Afternoon Club].

Born Thomas Griffin Dunne in New York City to producer Dominic Dunne.Grew up in a prominent family that included writer aunt Joan Didion and uncle John Gregory Dunne.Siblings include late sister Dominique Dunne and brother Alex.

Breakthrough roles include Jack Goodman in An American Werewolf in London (1981) and Paul Hackett in Martin Scorsese’s After Hours (1985), earning a Golden Globe nomination.
