Actress Kristen Renton from The OC, CSI, Days of Our Lives and the critically acclaimed FX series Sons of Anarchy lives her life in the fast lane – for animals. Kristen Renton’s exotic look and acting talent has made her a hit on the big and small screen. Kristen currently has a recurring role on the popular critically acclaimed FX series, Sons Of Anarchy as “Ima”. Sons of Anarchy, a hard-edged drama revolves around the infamous motorcycle gang, S.A.M.C.R.O. as they manage their commitment to family, running guns and evading the law. Kristen co-stars opposite Charlie Hunnam, Ron Pearlman, and Katey Sagal. Kristen’s character Ima, is a no-nonsense porn star who is befriended by the gang.
Kristen recently finished filming a new series called Strictly Sexual: The Series, which airs on Hulu. The show isbased on the hit Indie Film- Strictly Sexual, which is the most watched movie on Hulu to date. The new show will document the main characters wild dating and relationship endeavors. Kristen will play “Summer”, a beautiful woman who is full of life and is now finding her place in the world.
Her extensive TV background includes formally playing the Southern Belle “Morgan Hollingsworth,” on NBC’s popular daytime drama series, Days of Our Lives. Kristen has made memorable guest appearances on numerous hit TV shows, including, The OC , MTV’s The Andy Dick Show, Scratch and Burn, and Maybe Its Me. The role she is still often recognized for, was her turn as “Melanie Dobson” CSI: NY, where Kristen portrayed a high school student filling her time seducing older men and having quite the night life -- when her lover ends up dead, she is a prime suspect. Fans also remember her as a series regular opposite Adam Brody and Johnny K. Lewis on MTV’s award-winning series, The Sausage Factory.
In 2005, Kristen made her feature film debut opposite Lea Thompson, Paul Dooley, Martin Mull, Thomas Gibson in Come Away Home. Directed by Doug McKeon, Come Away Home showcased Kristen in a coming-of-age story that went on to win a variety of awards, including “Best Motion Picture (Drama)” and “Best Feature Film (Drama)” at the International Family Film Festival. The same year, Kristen made a memorable appearance as “Skye” in In the Mix starring Usher.
In 2008, Kristen appeared opposite William Atherton and Erin Gray in Ghouls, the hit sci-fi/horror feature film for the SiFi Network. Filmed on location in Bucharest, Romania, Kristen portrayed “Jennifer,” a family oriented and down-to earth-college student who arrives in Bucharest believing she is there to lay her grandmother to rest. Chaos ensues after she realizes that she is at the center of a plot to keep a long blood line of ghouls alive and she is the missing link.
Born in Denver, Colorado and raised in Florida, Kristen was considered a tomboy growing up, spending most of her time playing outdoor sports. Her family was excited when she decided to follow in her older sister’s footsteps to do modeling as an extracurricular activity. A week short of her 16th birthday, Kristen attended a “cattle call” of over 350 kids. She was one of only three of the attendees who were asked to come to Los Angeles and try her hand at acting. Soon after relocating to Los Angeles, Kristen found success quickly, while also teaching herself the remainder of her high school curriculum and graduating with honors.
Kristen is a passionate animal activist. She supports Boxer Rescue LA, HSUS, Save the Manatee Club and SPCALA (Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals), just to name a few. She has boxer and a cat that mean the world to her. She recently enrolled in Penn State University, her parents’ alma mater, to obtain a degree in Psychology.
