Life Lessons from the River: Webster the Beagle’s Heartwarming Tale

Cheryl Kaye on Pet Life Radio

This week on Unleashed, Cheryl Kaye sits down with Frank Payne, the heart behind Webster the Beagle and its new sequel, Webster the Beagle and His Adventures at the River. Inspired by Payne’s late therapy dog, Webster, this touching tale follows the courageous beagle’s journey along the Rappahannock River. With themes of hope and perseverance, Webster reminds us that even when we feel lost, we might just be waiting to be found.

Payne’s passion for Webster shines through in this beautifully illustrated story, which celebrates life’s adventures and the special bonds we share with our furry companions. All proceeds from the Webster books benefit local Richmond charities, including animal shelters, youth programs, and the Children’s Hospital where Webster once worked his magic as a therapy dog. Payne hints that his current beagle, Billy B, could star in future tales, bringing more mischief and heart to the series. This episode is a must-listen for dog lovers and anyone who believes in the power of second chances.
