BIO:

I am an attorney and a long-time community volunteer. My collie (until she retired) and I were a Good Dog Foundation therapy team helping elementary school age children learn to read in public libraries and a public school. I led two Girl Scout troops for a total of 15 years. Professionally, I represent non-profit corporations, one of which provides financial support and mentoring to college bound students living in foster homes. I also helped found and then represented a community teen center.
Inspired by my grandchildren, love of dogs, and regular visits to a nearby Coast Guard station, I wrote this story to help kids understand that superpowers are not limited to the obvious. With hard work and focus come many possibilities, some quite novel. You don’t have to wear a cape to be a superhero!
