Rick Preuss is owner and operator of Preuss Pets, which has been in operation for 31 years. Preuss grew up in Pennsylvania and started in the pet store business working for his mother, Lennah Jean at the Fish Bowl in the town of Troutville beginning at the age of 5. With an emphasis on education and humane treatment of animals, Preuss has won numerous awards for customer service and education locally, nationally and internationally. Preuss actively engages the community both on-site and off-site with educational programs to help foster good pet care. Rick also co-hosts a weekly radio program, Mid-Michigan’s Pet Expert Talk Show. Known as one of the leading fish experts in Michigan, Rick and his staff have grown Preuss Pets into an important animal destination location in Lansing, MI.
