A Bird Lover Creates Resiliency in Kids
This week on Pets Mean Business, Jamie chats with Kristin Ludwig, founder and managing director of The House of Nubs, a not-for-profit organization that helps to build resiliency in children through the stories of rescued animals
Kristin Ludwig is a biologist by education and an animal lover at heart. She and her animals have been certified as therapy teams since 2009, specializing in working with at-risk children in children’s homes, hospitals, and schools. She is a firm believer in positive reinforcement training and the responsible treatment and care of all animals. She is also the founder and Managing Director of The House of Nubs, an organization named for her precious budgie, Nubs, with the mission of building resiliency in children through the inspirational stories of animals who have bravely given life a second chance.
