BIO:

Born and raised in Nova Scotia Canada where I studied English at St Francis Xavier University.

After graduating from University I moved to Ottawa and became a bike racer. I then moved to the US so I could ride year round and pursue a career in racing. I made it onto a pro team called Timex Cannondale and raced for them for two years.

After retiring from racing I moved to Spain where I started doing cat and dog rescue on a small scale.

I've loved animals since I was a child so they have always been a huge part of my life. I started a brand of animal inspired clothing with a portion of the proceeds going to animal rescue.

I stopped making the clothing because of a divorce and a subsequent move to a much smaller home but I then became the spokesperson for Odessa's Essential Health for Pets.

I've also been the VP of the BOD for the Forget Me Not Farm for 8 years now, I've been volunteering for them for 10 years. It's a therapy farm for at-risk kids and rescued farm animals.

I also organize a gala event every year in October called the Festa Del Fondo. It's an auction and dinner benefitting at-risk youth in our community. Over the past 9 years we have raised almost 2.5 million.

During my 20 years in the US I have fostered over 250 animals and have also volunteered for Compassion Without Borders, the Sonoma Humane Society and Forgotten Felines.

In 2016 I embarked on a project to tell the World about amazing rescues and the people who run them. It's a documentary type series called Unsung Heroes. We're still working on it today. I just returned from my second trip to China to film an extraordinary group of women who save dogs from the horrible meat market.

At home I have 10 rescued senior dogs, 3 cats, 2 goats, 1 pig, 7 chickens, 2 roosters and 2 ducks. All rescued of course.
