Diane West
Diane West is founder and publisher of New York Tails Magazine, an all-volunteer magazine for the people and pets of New York since 2002. She recruited only the best-of-the-best to be regular columnists, and the rest is history. A lifelong New Yorker (and darn proud of it!) Diane herself has shared her city life with animals of every stripe—dogs, cats, birds (including pigeons) fish, snakes and small furry creatures—fuggetaboutit! Currently she is kept busy with Fox and Fish (both cats) and an impish rodent, Mistress Chilli Chinchilla
Voted “one of a pawful of the best pet publications” in the U.S. by Utne Reader, New York Tails has been featured in The New York Times, The New York Daily News, The New York Post and several award-winning weeklies throughout New York. Diane has been a recurring guest on New York 1 news and is in constant contact with many rescue groups through her long-standing relationship with The Mayor’s Alliance for New York City Animals. She keeps her finger on the pulse of the New York pet world through groups like the New York Council of Dog Owner Groups, (NYC Dog), the League of Humane Voters, and daily tips from New York Tails readers.
