Dr. Joya Griffin is an Ohio native who graduated from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating, she completed a rotating internship in Chicago and then returned to Cornell for dermatology residency and then served one year as instructor. She became a Diplomate of the College of Veterinary Dermatology in 2010 and joined Animal Dermatology Clinic in Louisville. Dr. Griffin is the star of Pop Goes the Vet with Dr. Joya on NatGeoWILD and Disney Plus. She’s privileged to expose viewers to the world of dermatology and the care she provides for her patients. She loves mentoring and teaching students of all ages and lecturing at local, national and international conferences to educate fellow veterinarians on all things dermatology. She is happily married to Forrest Cummings who is a veterinary internist. They have three children- Caden and boy/girl twins, Coby and Carter as well as two cats, Donut and Coffee, and two dogs, Guri and Magic.
