Nessie & Kat
Nessie
With over 20 years in the pet industry, I have extensive experience spanning kennels, animal behavior and training, competitive grooming, and serving as a Certified Master Groomer instructor. Currently, I work as a veterinary technician and am pursuing certification as a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT). Additionally, I authored a grooming instruction manual, reflecting my dedication to the craft. My passion for animals is matched by my enthusiasm for interacting with pet parents, recognizing that this field is as much about people as it is about pets. Always eager to learn and grow, I find excitement in every step of my career journey. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my three pets—two dogs and a cat—painting, and playing video games.
Kat
Hello, my name is Kat! I am a Certified Veterinary Technologist. The title of “technologist” indicates that I have obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Veterinary Technology. I went to college in Harrogate, Tennessee at Lincoln Memorial University. I spent my semesters studying and taking care of my grandpa, while working as a lifeguard at a water park over the summer. After obtaining my Associate of Science, I was able to sit for state boards and obtain my certification. After this, I decided I wanted to continue my education and obtain a Bachelor's Degree. I completed this degree at Morehead State University in Kentucky. Thirsting for knowledge and experience, I finished college and went into Emergency and Critical Care. I worked ECC for six years, before finally settling down in general practice medicine. In my free time, I like to paint, play guitar, and sing. I have a Great Dane named Dani. She’s a spoiled girl who takes up most of my free time, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world!
