Dr. Karen Shenoy joined Hill's Pet Nutrition in 2008 and currently serves as Chief Veterinary Officer for Hill’s US, leading its team of 250+ veterinary and sales professionals who provide support to the veterinary profession, veterinary clinics and pet stores across the United States. 

Prior to joining Hill’s, Dr. Shenoy enjoyed clinical work as a veterinarian in small animal practice and at one of the world's busiest wildlife hospitals, as well as teaching as part-time adjunct faculty with a veterinary technology program.  Through these roles, she also gained experience in training, public relations, management and fund-raising.  

Karen holds Bachelor of Science (Veterinary Science) and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees from the University of Minnesota.  She is an active mentor with the Women in Leadership and Management in Animal Health (WILMAH) organization and the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine.  She serves on the Board of Directors for the Veterinary Innovation Council and the Diversify Veterinary Medicine Coalition. Throughout her career she has served on committees for the American Veterinary Medical Association and was previously on the National Wildlife Rehabilitators Association Board of Directors.  

She, her husband, James, and 9-year-old daughter, Maya, reside in the Kansas City area with their menagerie of pets, including 3 mixed-breed shelter dogs: Hoppy, Porter and Growler.  In their free time, they are avid supporters of University of Minnesota Gopher sports, and Karen also enjoys competitive swimming.
