Bob Barker turned 91 years old the day this episode was aired. When I interviewed him I was inspired by his enthusiasm and support for animal advocacy groups. I am sure all our listeners will be equally inspired. I strongly urge anyone who loves and wants to help animals to listen to this interview.

Television Celebrity Bob Barker is one of the best friends animals have ever had. His love for them is heartfelt and generous. Hear how at 91 years of age he is heavily involved in helping Animal Defenders International save circus lions from a cruel life in Peru.  Catch up with what Bob Barker is doing for ADI and other advocate groups on this episode of Max A Pooch’s Awesome Animal Advocates.

During his 35 years as host for the popular TV game show The Price is Right Bob Barker earned a growing reputation as an advocate for animals.  When he retired from TV he didn’t retire from his passion of helping those who can’t speak for themselves  Barker's work on behalf of animals has garnered him a long list of awards from prestigious humane organizations across the country.

These acts of generosity include  founding the DJ&T Foundation, cutting a check for $500.000 to help Animal Defenders International  relocate 30 circus lions from Peru to the United States. Barker also donated $2 million to the group in 2011 in an effort to rescue circus lions and other animals in Bolivia. (episodes  25 and 26) Mr. Barker’s generosity extends beyond the sea shore.  He's   donated $5 million to the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society for a ship (named the Bob Barker) seen in the TV program Whale Wars. In addition PETA received  $2.5 million to help renovate  its Los Angeles headquarters, and  is now called   the Bob Barker Building.
