Jim Kinsler is the Assistant Curator of Fishes at SeaWorld Orlando. Jim began his career at SeaWorld in 1994 as an Aquarist Trainee. He has over 16 years of professional experience working with marine and freshwater fish, invertebrates, reptiles and amphibians. As a member of the SeaWorld Aquarium team Jim has been involved in every facet of aquarium exhibit design, construction, and husbandry. He directly oversees animal acquisitions, transport, health and nutrition. Jim has been involved in several high profile projects at SeaWorld Orlando including Journey to Atlantis, Manta, the Fish Quarantine facility and the Discovery Cove interactive park. Jim received his Bachelors of Science degree in Aquatic Biology from Ohio University in 1992. Aside from his professional career, Jim has been an aquarium hobbyist for over 30 years.
